Bereavement

Losing someone we love is undoubtedly one of the most difficult things we can experience in life. When we experience bereavement, our feelings can range from great sadness to anger, and how we learn to cope with the loss can vary so much from one person to another. Some individuals will grieve for years, before they can find relief, while yet others can start to feel on the road to recovery and going back to their normal activities after six months.

The emotions that occur in grief, can be a confusing mix too, whether they include sadness, guilt, anger, despair or regret and often the strength of the emotion can take an individual by surprise.

What can Psychotherapy do?

No matter an individuals reaction to loss, grieving can be a difficult process. For some individuals therapy can provide help with coming to terms with your loss and is an opportunity to explore your grief and the associated feelings and memories in a quiet space free of judgement.
